Le RULES
1. This is a PG-13 site, no excessive language or scenes. If you wish to make an “R” rated thread, you must make sure everyone in the thread is okay with this, and make sure to put the rating in the title of the thread.
2. NO OOCness… yes, I know that no one can play a character perfectly, but try to be true as best to your ability.
3. No tattling! If you have a problem with another member, try to work it out together first. If the problem persists, then contact an admin.
4. Be polite! Ask permission, etc. We’re all grown-ups here right?
5. Place ads appropriately. No spamming
6. No godmodding, no power playing, and especially no mary-sues or anything else like that. Original characters are encouraged but everyone has a weakness or two.
~~~This also includes healing. Angelic healing can ruin plots if a plot is focused on someone being hurt!
~~~There is an exception... if someone allows you to mod, then its okay.
7. Graphic size: 500x500 is the largest size we will accept.
8. Please give notice to any absences! Whether it’s for a few days or for good. We need to know.
9. If you have questions PLEASE ask staff. We’ll be in the cboxes, or you can PM or email or IM us. We want to help you!
10. RESPECT everyone
Posting rules
1. Threads are now OPTIONAL
2. All posting is in 3rd person point of view. This means “He, She, It” and not “I, Me”.
3. Posting- There is no limit but don't reply with just a few sentences. Aim for 100 at least but again there is no limit.
4. Be creative in your post, but don’t go too nuts. No yellow letters on a white background, for example. Make sure the font is clear and large enough to read. Justified or blockquotes are encouraged but not required. It just makes reading a lot easier.
5. Only three (3) threads at a time per character. This is to not only help keep people from being swamped by thread requests, but it also promotes posting.
Cbox Posting
1. We have an IC cbox at the bottom of the site and an OOC cbox on the left.
2. If you speak OOC in the IC cbox, use ()
3. No OOC drama!
4. We are cbox centric but feel free to do threads.
5. Be respectful
6. No R rated scenes or sex scenes! Period! Sex happens, if it does, “fade to black”. (may be subject to change)
7. Once again, no godmodding... this includes healing or killing without consent from the writers involved.
Characters:
1. Again, this is important, NO godmodding. You can’t say you killed someone without permission.
2. You must use a REAL celebrity for your Play By. But please, be creative. Don’t use Johnny Depp as a pirate, for example.
3. No long lost siblings, family, or children to a canon without staff AND player permission. (ex: if you want to play someone’s long lost son, you need to ask that player and staff).
4. If you play canon you HAVE to use that character as your playby.
5. Try to be original when naming characters. We can have people with the same name, but we don’t need a dozen Sam’s running around.
6. Apps are optional now, but don't go making a dozen characters a day.
7. Original characters are encouraged, but please no mary-sues!.
8. NO Sharks. What's a shark? Someone who joins solely to be the significant other to another character. (This excludes canons who are already together!)
9. If you have a canon, you must be active. Anyone deemed not active will have their canon back up for grabs.
10. Sometimes we NPC in the cbox. These are short term or one time characters. Examples are like past faces of a timelord, or the parent or sibling of your character. We have a list here: angelshavethebox.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=adoption&action=display&thread=104&page=1#1351137309 And we will not refuse you if you use someone here as a PB, but please take it into account first before making a character. We will check and we will ask you about it.
11. We no longer really require an app, but please post who you play in the WPW section.
