"In all the states in all the world I had just had to make a deal in Muncie friggan Indiana, I believe somewhere out there someone is pointing a finger and laughing his arse off at me. What a bloody farse."Takes a measured sip of his chilled glass of vodka, the ice melting diluting the alcohol but not by much he could still get more if he had to, and chances were that he might need it before the night was out. There were two things he simply could not stand one of being stood up and the other was wasting his time. And that was precisely what his client did the moment he began negotiations, it didn't help matters that he had decided on the spur of the moment to consult a real Crossroads demon about this deal, which all but screwed his chances of ever getting through this scott free. So Balthazar did what he did best in these situations he hussled. Unfortunately this client was a rare breed the shrew kind and he simply wouldn't settle for anything less than two items in exchange for his soul, the items in question was a vase containing the heart of a martyr and Davids harp.
After the deal was finalized he still had another matter of business to take care of so he checked the time and smirked. "I'm sure they won't mind if I'm fashionably late, best to just take my time perhaps lert'em stew for a bit."A sly smile curved his lips as he looked about trying to decide what he should do, in a way he was one of the most indecisive angels in his garrison alway the first to receive the orders but the last to carry it out. Now that he was clear of all that mess he could do as he pleased without worrying about what his dear old dad would think. Yet freedom came with it's own price he still had to make a living and gaining more power was a part of staying alive while at the same time he tried to veer just left of his siblings radar. However since this was a crossroads thing he had to do the deals properly lest he be found out. And of course he just had to wait in the middle of nowhere off the beaten path and on a crossroads no less, which meant that his competition would be coming through the rushes if he didn't make good his escape.
"You know it's rather dark out mind keeping me company for a spell?" he didn't bother turning around he could feel someone was behind him he just didn't know who or what it was but just in case it was something that could make short work of him it was best to go the subtle approach. True it wasn't exactly the most inspired plan he had but it was he could do to stop himself from bolting. Besides his ever present curiousity would never allow him to turn tail and flee not until he got a good look at whoever it was that decided to pop in.
